A Comeback on the Horizon?
I think it is time to revert some focus back here on KisP. Expect some excitement very soon!
I think it is time to revert some focus back here on KisP. Expect some excitement very soon!
Once again we find ourselves at years end. I would like to invite everyone who may be reading this to take a short moment to be thankful they were able to see the entire year through and in honor of those who are no longer with us, continue to live only in happiness. This is generally the time when New Years resolutions begin to run through our minds. All of the things we want to improve upon. All of the ideas that begin with good intentions but usually are unable to withstand through February. First off, it is commendable for trying. Commitment is unsettling especially when it involves something different or unusual to our daily lives. Just know that you went that extra step further than those who did not even bother to try. And for that and all of your past attempts, a job well done on giving it hell.
Now although you were successful in your attempt, there clearly was a flaw somewhere along the line that caused the interruption. Either the idea was not well thought out or a resolution was made just for the sake of making one. As you can see, neither lead to the desire outcome.
I have thought long and hard about a resolution I could set for myself that strays from the traditional. I wanted something that would have a lasting effect. Through vast amounts of deliberation I finally found just what I needed.
Did someone ever ask you what you did last week? How about yesterday? This morning? Chances are you’ve been so caught up in the daily grind that you were unable to fully appreciate the day. I am not at all saying that you took the day for granted but it would be nice to know what was taken out of it. So I have decided that my New Years resolution will be to take at least five photos every day. Five pictures of whatever. It can be five consecutive photos of the same thing or if feeling ambitious it could be five photos in five different cities, states, etc.
The options are infinite but the benefits will hopefully prove to be monumental. I want to remember what I do every day and I was to be able to make the necessary changes if I am not living each sunrise to the fullest. Knowing I have just five photos to take, I will always have the opportunity to separate myself momentarily and take the time to “smell the roses.”
I would like anyone reading this to consider a similar resolution. Find something that will bring some degree of perpetual and lasting happiness. We always want more. Rightfully so. But try to move away from the material and focus on true importance. I want to be able to remember what I do every day because I am also guilty of getting caught up in trivial ordeals. Just remember to do everything with an uncompromisable passion as this is the only way you’ll be able to truly complete anything and know it was truly worthwhile.
Wishing you all the best; Health, Wealth, and Happiness.
We all have dreams. We all have goals. We all aspire to do, to achieve, to be something. It is when we begin to act upon our ambitions does the opportunity of reality become material. When we actually set out to do something we finally become something. This is what KisP is all about.
In this dog eat dog world it is rare that anyone would take the time to try and help someone else. But what many don’t realize is that helping other may just be the path to attaining their own ideals. Do not ever lose focus of what is vital to your success but be sure to always consider the well being of others; especially when they are your friend.
Josh Watkinson is a very talented musician whose sole purpose for playing is to share his passion of music with all that are willing to lend an ear. I have known Josh and his family for quite some time now and each member of his family contributes a unique and positive aspect to the world we live in. Josh’s calling is music and he needs your help.
Josh is heading to the studio to record his debut EP and his funding is limited as is many college students and graduates. Instead of recording in a college dorm room (this does work), he has chosen to recruit a Grammy award-winning team to assist in the creation of a masterpiece. His refusal to opt for the easiest option should serve as inspiration to all of us.
Music is meant to be heard. This sounds obvious but consider the number of low quality recordings we have all had endure. To me, that is not music. Music is not just sound. What you hear on the radio, from a CD, or a downloaded file is the end result. We call those “songs.” Music is so much more than that. It is a process; a process that produces a result that directly corresponds to what is put in. To be successful, you must enjoy and appreciate the process to get to where you want to be. You can forget the small stuff but you cannot expect the outcome to be as you envisioned. To create true music, quality and passion are the key ingredients.
With that, Josh has created a KickStarter campaign. If you haven’t heard of KickStarter yet, it is a great way to raise money and gain the support of a soon-to-be loyal following. However the catch is that the entire goal must be met in order for the payout to occur. Josh is trying to raise $3000. If he only gets $2999, then the deal is off. He is not even half way to his goal and there is less than a month to go.
Please help out Josh by clicking this link http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joshuawatkinson/joshua-watkinsons-debut-ep-0 .
Every contribution helps. The minimum pledge is only $1 and beginning at $5, you get a gift. There are several tiers of contributions that all have some sort of reimbursement for your generosity.
Please consider helping Josh reach his goal. If you knew Josh like I did then you know he would, without question, help anyone in need in any way possible. He is a great friend, a talented musician, and truly represents the KisP ideals: Ambition, Motivation, Passion, Progression, and Knowledge.

To be honest, I am not entirely certain if that title makes any sense at all. If I had to try and define what I meant to say: Enthusiastic recognition of optimism for your reading pleasure. This is my way of saying this is a positivity blog without referring to it as one. A creative twist on an already overwhelmingly common concept. Writing has developed into a passion. Quite simply, writing is fun. It the easiest way to be heard without physically saying a word.
I started KisP in 2009 with an idea. This idea was to inspire, to enlighten, and instill a feeling of overwhelming desire to fulfill your dreams. One of the more forward ways of promoting these ideals was the creation of the clothing company which is why we are here today.
But there is more to the motive than just clothing and there are certainly more methods to support the idea. This is where the art of the word comes into play. Blogging is a fascinating way to offer personal insight to a potentially infinite audience. However I am not the first to realize this given that there are millions of writers both online and offline. With a little finesse and a lot of creativity, it is within my sincerest ambitions that KisP continues to be nothing but the most informative, influential, and uplifting.
That is why I am refocusing and redirecting to make KisP more about the message than about the clothing. As I developed the clothing, I lost sight of my initial intentions; a necessary measure to establish the business. Luckily I have taken a step back and now know that to ensure the successful deliverance of the KisP message, the best choice is to utilize writing as the focal point and the clothing company as a material representation of what is said.
That said, the KisP Clothing Company is now truly a supplement to the KisP ideals: Ambition, Motivation, Passion, Progression, and Knowledge. A symbolic, tangible means to support this vision. Every piece of clothing is an extension of KisP. The KisP name will forever be associated with a genuine interest in promoting the well-being of others through whatever means necessary. Look forward to much more content and so much more than clothing from KisP and the KisP Clothing Company
May today be better than yesterday, so to ensure a positive tomorrow.
Their smiles still shine so bright
